This time last year was a big season...we found out a year ago yesterday that we were expecting our second little girl. What a day filled with overwhelming emotions and excitement. To be quite honest we have been 100% wrong when guessing the gender of both of our girls. We have had a boy name picked out since we found out December 2007 that we were expecting our first child and here we are September 2011 still holding onto that name...God has quite the sense of humor.
With all that said, how grateful I am for the two precious little girls that wake up each day in my home and call me "Mommy". I was pondering yesterday what treasures these two have been to our lives. The Father really demonstrates His own love through the relationship between a parent and child. I have learned more about my Father's love through my relationship with my children than from any other experience in my life. No matter how disobedient, disrespectful or rebellious I am, His love for me never changes. No matter how many times I continue to fail, He still remains my loving, caring, and forgiving Heavenly Father...much like a mommy and daddy to their children. What joy it must bring the Father when He sees His children growing and becoming what He has called them to be...much like it brings a mommy and daddy joy who have instructed and taught their children to do certain things and their children begin doing them. I am so thankful for my Father's unending love for me! I pray my children will see Christ in me and Stephen and that they will in turn run to Him!
I am so thankful for my two precious girls and the delight they are to raise. They are part of the plan the Father is using to Sanctify me...
