There are certainly days when having a job in the outside world is most appealing, the opportunity of getting back in the classroom and doing something I love to do...teach, being able to converse with adults throughout the day, having some privacy when I go to the bathroom, running an errand or two by myself, having a temporary break from my children, leave the housework for later...
However, there is absolutely nothing in the world I would trade for the life of being a Stay at Home Mommy! Being home with my babies brings its daily challenges, but with each challenge there is triple the reward. I have the opportunity to eat breakfast with them each morning after they wake up, eat lunch with them each afternoon before they nap, play around with Madie before we start school, rock Hannah to sleep before each nap, witness each milestone, instill the Word of God in them throughout the entire day, read to them, play outside with them, love on them all day, take them on fun lunch dates...
I often take for granted this privilege God has afforded me. We get one chance to love, teach, and spend time with our children. We have a short window of time to instill God's Word into their hearts and lives before they are old enough to start making their own choices and decisions, so it is crucial that we take advantage of whatever time that is and live selflessly abandoned lives before our children that display the Gospel. It is so important to me that my girls and any future children the Lord chooses to bless us with see the Gospel lived out in front of them, taught directly to them, and understand the expectations for them to follow in pursuit.
I know God's calling on my life is clear throughout scripture, I pray that I can live contented with His calling and that I can impact my family's lives in ways that a watching world will be changed forever. If my children respond to the Gospel, then it will in turn change the way they raise their families and so on. Sometimes I think about the financial difference it would have on our family if I went back to work, but quickly the Lord reminds me that the financial difference has NO eternal value, the daily job of teaching my children the ways of the Lord will!!!

Hoping still for a sisterly-bond between these two...
She loves her new swing...
I always wonder what she's thinking...
She loves to push Hannah is the swing.
