Hannah's Growing Too!

This summer has been crammed full of everything imaginable, but it has been great!  I am gearing up to start homeschool with Madie and Hannah either this coming week or the next.  Quite a few events on the calendar for next week, so its looking like its going to be pushed back another week...but that's the beauty of homeschool.

I haven't posted any updates on Hannah Bug in a while, so I thought I'd do just that!  She is almost nineteen months old now and I catch myself getting weepy eyed over how quickly my girls are growing up!  Hannah is a ball FULL of energy and as happy as the day is long!  She is very opinionated and verbal about it!  She loves to smile and laugh which is always such a blessing and NEVER gets old!  She has recently started talking a lot and some of which we can actually understand.   She is very clear on some things and others leave us puzzled!

She loves baby dolls, and totes one around with her just about everywhere she goes!  She loves to pretend and is so very precious when she does.  She brings her babies to me all wrapped up in blankets and tells me to shoosh!  She sits and "wock wocks" her babies to sleep and kisses them on the head.  She'll push her babies around the house in a stroller for long periods of time and then will tire of that and grab a book.  Books are her next favorite and she'll bring books to me all day saying, "boo, boo, boo, boo" until I agree to sit and read it to her...I am very motivated to teach Madie how to read this year!

I've always called her my "hard child" because she is so much harder to figure out and satisfy than Madie ever was.  She knows what she wants and when and how she wants it, which at times can be an exhausting thing!  When she's mad, the whole world knows it, and she is very strong willed about staying mad!  But, her sweet little eyes and precious smile keeps me going and encourages my heart all throughout the day.  One of my favorite times of the day with her is at night when it's time for bed; as I sit and rock her, and tickle her, and sing to her, she looks up at me with her beautiful blue eyes and smiles and does all kinds of silly things.  She brings such joy to everyone she comes in contact with and brightens the room with her happiness!  I love her dearly and am so thankful the Lord saw fit to add such a treasure to our family!

I pray that over the next few months the Lord would strengthen me to teach her.  I pray that the Lord would shed wisdom on how to meet her needs and guide her in His ways.  I pray that the Lord would use her mightily, even as young as she is to point to Himself!  I thank you Lord for your goodness in my life to bless me with my dear Hannah Kate!
