Man, it seems like just yesterday the doctor was telling me we could induce Friday...but no...she turned 5 months old last Tuesday and time just seems to be speeding up. It is so true that if you don't take the time to enjoy every minute of their childhood, it'll just pass you by.
She has reached many milestones since January 21st! We made it through the first two months that proved to be very trying days. Of course there was the adjustments of having a newborn, but on top of that there was a major adjustment of having two children. One of which was incredibly jealous of the other! However, we made it through those days and are looking back on them now with a smile. Hannah reached her first milestone of sleeping through the night at 8 weeks old...HALLELUJAH! The Lord's hand is so apparent to the mom of a newborn in a lot of things...the ability to function on very little sleep is one of the many provisions He gives. Her next milestone was rolling over which she accomplished a little after 4 months and then here recently she is working on the milestone of sitting up which she has just about mastered at 5 months old.
Hannah is such a joy and a delight, she is a very happy baby and lets us know all throughout the day with her little giggles, squeals, and never ending smiles! She loves to be talked to, played with, sung to, read to, and held. She does not like to cuddle, be rocked to sleep, play on her stomach, or be left alone. She loves to see and be a part of whatever is going on.
I love watching her grow and learn. I tell her all the time that I can't wait to tell her about Jesus and how much he loves her. I can't wait to watch her fall in love with Him as she learns about the things He's done for her. I can't wait to watch her and Madie become best friends and learn to love each other through the good times and bad. There are a whole list of things I look forward to watching and doing with her; but for now, I'm satisfied holding her close, whispering in her ear, and thinking of all the things that will one day be. Thank You Lord for giving me these precious children!

Playing on her floor mat.
Getting ready to eat cereal for the first time.
I think I wore more than she ate...she's quite the spitter!
She's quite a fun little girl!
First time swimming. She seemed to really enjoy the water.
