Madie underwent surgery for having her adenoids removed and tubes put back in for the second time this past Thursday. We had the first set of tubes put in when she was only 9 months old, however, after those came out, the fluid behind the ear remained; so in order to avoid any permanent damage to her hearing or speech we had the second set put in as well as removing her adenoids.
This time needless to say was very different than the first time since she was quite a bit older. After the nurse gave her 'versed' to calm her, it made her quite a bit loopy. She made us laugh for an hour as we waited on the nurses to come and get her (which, by the way, was no easier than the first time).
She did great and is still in the recovery process. She hasn't quite returned to herself, but there's no doubt in my mind she'll be back!
She was thrilled to have her very own pajamas, socks, and bed!!! Who knew that's all it took!
Little did she know what awaited her... :(
This is when things got pretty funny!
