Week 2 of Homeschool

LETTER OF THE WEEK:
This week we have been learning to identify the letter "B", the sounds that go with "B", and things that start with the letter "B".

BIBLE:
We have also been doing the days of creation in depth this week.  We did an overview last week and this week we are doing art projects and special snacks for each day of creation.  Friday is Day 3 of Creation so we are having "dirt" for snack with gummy worms...yum yum.  We are still working on the same verse from last week Genesis 1:26 along with her cubby verses.

So far she's doing great.  Once we get into a rhythm each week, I think things will go a bit smoother as well.  She's loving her quiet reading time in the morning, and I also found on Barnes and Noble's website where they have an online storytime and she really enjoyed "Llama Llama Red Pajama" this morning.  At 11:00 we actually went to Barnes and Noble's for a storytime, snack, and activity...that was really fun!!!  We might just have to begin making a lunch day out of that as well.

Beginnings of letter "B" art project...

Days of Creation...1,2, and 4.  She wanted to put stars in the night sky, and those don't come until day 4, so we went ahead...

Collected the dirt for the activity for Day 3 while we were outside looking at the sky.

Artwork for the week so far...I'm working on a better way to display her artwork, but I'm still in the process of collecting all of the materials to do so...this will do for now.

One of her favorite things to do...always have to include water painting.
