Trying to Keep up!!!

I feel like "life" has taken me and put me in marathon and I'm doing all I can to keep up with my runners.  We are full speed ahead daily and its all I can do to keep things in order around here.  I have learned that some things are just more important than others and they can wait until another day.  We have had so much going on lately I have had no time to post any updates of school, cooking, growth updates, pictures or anything, so this is going to be a bit of a "hodge podge" post.

For school with Madie we have been kind of hit or miss recently.  Things have been less than normal around here for the last two weeks so we are just starting to get back to it.  However, even though we have missed a bit here and there she has still been learning a lot and funny enough it has been directly related to where we left off with school at home.  She goes to Mother's Morning Out once a week and they have been doing letters and the days of creation as well as Cubbies on Wednesday nights.  We have one more day of creation to learn and we will finish that up Monday with a life size drawing of Madie and a couple pictures of animals.

This week we learned letter "C".  She is doing rather well with her letters so I think we might pick up the pace a bit.  Next week is letter "D" and we are going to give our best effort at making doughnuts.  I'll post pictures success or failure...hopefully they'll turn out.

We also went out to Aplin Farms opening weekend to pick pumpkins and sunflowers, however with it being the first weekend, the vines weren't trampled very well so it didn't make for very good pictures, not to mention I had two cranky girls...not to mention that as we got out into the middle of the pumpkin patch, Madie announces with quite a bit of panic in her voice, legs crossed, and a terrified look on her face that she needed to go potty...Stephen swept her up and headed as fast as could for the woods...needless to say that made for quite an adventure...I think we'll give that another go very soon and see if we can have a better outcome and this time we'll go potty before we head to the pumpkin patch.

My Precious Hannah...she's so cute!  She wasn't digging the dirt! This was the best picture I could come up with for her.

Scoping out the pumpkins...before the potty break.

She's so pretty!

Learning how to milk a cow...she thought you milked the cow, then fed the cow what you milked...oh my we have lots to learn!
