Welcoming Christmas With Excitement...

This last week we welcomed in the Holidays by getting out our Christmas decorations and attending the Downtown Dothan Christmas festivities.  I think for the first time this stuff is really exciting my three year old...I got out the Christmas decor Tuesday during their afternoon nap, and when she woke up, she walked in the room gasping and saying, "Beautiful...it's so beautiful, I love it Mommy."  Thursday night we put up our Christmas tree and I got out a a box of ornaments that she could help me with before she went to bed, and as she pulled each ornament out of the box she said, "Oh this one is my favorite..."  Needless to say she is getting into the Christmas spirit.  We have a really neat box of ornaments that some precious friends gave us a few years ago that are called proclamation ornaments.  They give the old testament proclamations and new testament fulfillments of the coming of Christ and there are twenty five of them.  Stephen and I really enjoy doing them each year and hope over the years our girls will enjoy them as well.

Up from nap and ready to decorate...ok maybe not.

This is her getting in the Christmas spirit...a little grinchy if you ask me.

Doing her part...notice them all bunched together there.

Proudly showing off her mad tree decorating skills.

Sweet Mrs. Cheryl and Hannah watching for sister.

Madie chose this pony all on her own...his name was Bandit.

Little unsure at the start...

checking things out.

After a few laps...big smiles were all she was bringing.

  1. Hey Christy,

I have so enjoyed reading your blog the past few months. I don't know if you remember me, but we went to UM together and maybe had a few classes together. I think I found your blog through someone else's. Your children are precious! I know you are one proud momma! I love the idea of the proclamation ornaments you talked about in your post. Can you tell me what company makes them? I would love to have some for my Christmas tree every year! They sound really neat! I hope you have a great evening!
