Thanksgiving full of blessings!!!

I was somewhat hesitant about a 10 hour trip to Bristol, TN with a three year old and a ten month old.  I did not know how they would fare and if I would survive a trip of that length and still have my sanity by the time we arrived...I'll let the pictures do the talking...

They did a little of this...

Some of this...
(Book on Audio)

Some more of this...
(PRAISE THE LORD!)

No road trip would be complete without delicious chocolate snacks and a sucker!

They did phenomenal...and that is the understatement of the century!  They were such troopers and made the trip even enjoyable.  They never cease to surprise me!

We had such a great time visiting Stephen's family from Tennessee that we don't get to see very often.  We ate, visited, shopped, ate, ice skated, ate, and ate some more.  Needless to say our bellies were very satisfied!  We arrived with very tired and restless girls late Wednesday afternoon.  We got settled in and went to grab a bite to eat.  Sadly enough at dinner I realized Madie's ear was draining (indicating an ear infection) and Hannah was still battling a double ear infection...I was quickly plagued with thoughts of "wow what fun this will be..."  however, the Lord was good to us; after a good night's rest, both girls were almost up to par for Thanksgiving on Thursday.  This was a good thing since LOTS more family would be arriving later in the day.  Both girls played and napped great during the day.  I had the opportunity to meet a lot of Stephen's family and family's family that I had never met before.  I enjoyed getting to meet them all.  After most of them left, we all (us girls) got busy studying the 'Black Friday' ads...we were pondering what time to get up and go the next day...and someone (I can't exactly remember who...) suggested we get started with the midnight madness...reluctantly we decided to do it.  We pulled out at 11:30 p.m. and returned at 5:30 a.m.  It doesn't seem to do it justice to say that we were tired.  Needless to say, we were all worthless on Friday...I was so tired I couldn't function properly.  We all took a few naps and were a little bit chipper that evening.  We went to Carrabas for dinner and decided to go Ice Skating.  This was a first for Madie!  She was a bit timid at first, but by the end of the night, she was ready to sign up for the winter olympics...those dragging her around the rink were ready to crash!  Needless to say, she had a ball!

Hannah made pals with Mrs. Salyer...and not 5 minutes later she was sound asleep on this sweet lady.

Both of my girls loved Britney! (I believe she is actually their 3rd cousin)

This was their monstrous Christmas tree!!! GORGEOUS!

Sweet baby girl was loving the attention!

I found these two outside enjoying the cooler weather on the hammock...fun times!

Madie  and sweet snuggles with Nana and Aunt Bri.

She and Britney HAVE to be related with their "Diva-ness"

Mr. Heath helping Madie hide...bet you can't find her...

Time to ice skate...putting the world's tiniest ice skate on my girl...

Are those precious or what!

She was slightly distracted...no time for a photo!

Britney showing off her mad ice skills!

First time on the ice...

The boys had to get in on the action as well.

It was a bit chilly!

He finds talents all over the place...at least I didn't have to get out there!

Have you ever seen anything cuter???

Two blonde divas!

I think the big kids were exhausted after helping Madie girl...

She was so proud of herself!!!

That girl had a blast!!! Shivering and all!

This Thanksgiving was different for me because I was away from my parents and family for the first time...but God abundantly blessed me when I married into the Williams' family...I am surrounded by precious people who have welcomed me in as though I have always been here.  I so enjoyed getting to know more of the extended blessings God has allowed me to be apart of.  We had a blast this Thanksgiving and anxiously await the next visit with our fabulous family in Bristol TN!!!
