2011 started with a huge blessing and her name is Hannah Kate Williams. Its strange to think that she's only been in our lives for 11 months, because I can't really remember life before her. She added much excitement to our lives for countless reasons and as I type this I get teary eyed thinking about the fact that in a few short days my baby girl will be one!
2011 certainly brought its hardships, some of which were almost too hard, but the grace and mercy of Christ and His strength manifesting itself in our weaknesses pulled us through time after time. Stephen and I grew as a couple, parents, and individuals; our family grew in number, age, and as a unit. We are opening new doors as a family of four and wondering what the Lord has in store for us for 2012.
I look forward to what the Lord is going to do in our lives in and pray for His continued strength in our lives for the good times and hardships of 2012 and reminders of thankfulness for His abundant blessings. We are often overwhelmed at the two precious gifts He's given us that look to us for survival, guidance, and direction. We stumble daily through this thing called parenthood and pray for our own survival, guidance, and direction.
I pray 2012 is a year I can look back on and mark much spiritual growth in my life as a daughter of the King, a woman, a wife, and a mother. I pray that I will be diligent to study and grow daily in my knowledge and love for Him, I pray that I will respect, love, submit, encourage, and lift up my husband in a way that is pleasing to the Lord, I pray that as my children continue to grow that they will see the Gospel lived out daily in Mine and Stephen's lives. I pray that they will come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ at a young age and that Stephen and I foster a home that will lead to that, I pray that our lives will lead others to know and love Christ.
I am so thankful for another year and that the Lord has sustained us just as He promises in His Word.
