Happy 4th Birthday My Precious Madison Brooke!

July 21st four years ago was an amazing day!  In the Labor and Delivery wing at Flower's Hospital at exactly 4:47 pm weighing in at 6.8 18 1/2 inches long with the most beautiful brown hair and blue eyes you've ever seen Madison Brooke Williams entered the world and forever changed ours!

As a baby she was always very quiet (for the most part) and observant.  She took in everything around her and checked out everyone.  She was always very stingy with her smiles and laughs, but when she gave them out, she'd light up a room!  She was the most adorable little chunky cheek and thigh baby ever and her gorgeous blue eyes were always very intent on whatever they were looking at.

Over the years she grew out of the quietness that marked her earlier on and became very lively and excited about most everything!  The color of her hair changed dramatically from a light brown to a curly platinum blonde and still is continuing to change to a beautiful golden blonde.  She runs on her tip toes everywhere she goes and greets most people with a delightful greeting.  She has the most tender and compassionate heart which makes her very caring and concerned about others.  She loves anyone and everyone, especially those with the ability and willingness to play withe her.  She makes conversations very interesting with her insights and never ending questions and comments.  Her sweet little facial expressions will melt your heart when she is expressing something or responding to something.  She also adds a bit of drama to a lot of situations which is not always a fun thing:).

This past year we started homeschooling just a bit and she grew leaps and bounds with her comprehension of things, skills, and simple understandings of concepts.  She loved doing school each day and her desire to do so made it all the more motivating for me.  She overwhelmed me with her ability to memorize scripture verses and passages.  Her delight for learning was so exciting and encouraging to me!  I see personality traits in her that keep me guessing as to what the Lord is shaping her into.

Being a mommy to this little beauty has been and is such a privilege.  She teaches me so much through the way her little eyes see and perceive things.  She is such a motivator and her love for excitement reminds me so much of her daddy as does her desire for affection.  She brings joy to those she comes in contact with  because of her humour and honesty.

My prayer for her over this next year is that the things she's learned over this past year about God will take root and grow.  I pray those things become real to her and her sinful heart becomes evident.  I pray that she will desire to serve others just as Jesus came to serve.  I pray her heart swells with a desire to love and protect her sister.  I pray that as she gains knowledge about the world around her, that the Lord will protect her innocence, keep her from evil, but give her a burden for the lost.  I pray ultimately that at the earliest possible age she would surrender her everything to The Savior!

Madie my love, you are one of God's greatest gifts!  I am so thankful to call you my daughter!

-"I don't wanna go frew the wash car"

Two Saturdays ago we celebrated her birthday by having a Bubblegum Birthday Party.  Every time she has ever been given a piece of gum, she always swallows it, so we made decided that she couldn't have gum until she turned four!  So Saturday morning, do you know what one of the first things out of her mouth was??? "Am I four so I can have gum now?"  This girl loves to celebrate birthdays whether it be hers or someone else's; however since it was her's, we sang one of her very favorite songs ALL morning long..."The Happy Birthday" song.  She was so excited all morning as she awaited all the guests who were coming to her party.  She was just about out of control before the first guest arrived...she somehow managed to keep it together though.

Her Daddy had the overwhelmingly HOT job of feeding our guests!  Wish I had gotten a picture of the temperature outside...ridiculously HOT!

Line forming for the slip-n-slide...finally put that mountain in our backyard to good use!

Madie kept breaking in line...I guess when it's your party you can do what you want???

Mrs. Pat getting her usual baby love, this time from Scarlet

He's our Hero!

Mr. Billy did a fantastic job on her birthday cake!

Look at that thing, isn't it awesome!

Bella, one of Madie's lifelong friends who moved to California last summer surprised Madie for her birthday!  She did not have a clue she was coming...sorry we didn't get the surprise on camera!

Hannah's best friend...Mrs. Pat!

Ha! The baby pool, Jack mastered the entry!

She asked me if I was going to light it on fire!

So I let her Daddy have the lighter :)

What a special birthday to have Bella there!

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!

Overwhelmed by friends with such sweet gifts!!!

Madie and her sidekick!

She was so funny, she went to each friend right after she opened their gift to tell them thank you...this took a while, but so thankful for her genuineness.

Excitedly checking out each gift she opened.

Hannah was taking great care of one of Madie's gifts for her!  She loves baby dolls!

This picture makes me laugh...what are ya'll looking at?

Samantha our sweet friend from Bay Minette came to visit for the weekend...little did she know what all that would entail :)

My sweet grandmother and Aunt Missy!  They are the best!

What a great day!  Happy Birthday Sweet Madie!  We love you and can't wait to see what the Lord holds for your life this next year, we pray His abundant blessings over you!
