When All Hope Is Gone...

I realize I haven't updated my blog in about two months, and I usually do so with fun little family updates, but as I sit heavy hearted tonight pondering all the circumstances falling apart around me I have to be honest and say I get quite a bit discouraged.  "God, are you there????"

Over the years I have been blessed to be surrounded in my own little naive world of less than rough circumstances.  I can't say I've ever walked many hard roads...God's grace? Maybe...God's preparation?Possibly...

I have recently been standing in the midst of family, friends, and a world of brokeness, it has caused quite a stir within my heart as I watch crumbling circumstances cause much hurt, pain, division, and seemingly hopeless situations all around me.  The question that continues to nag me is, "Why?"

As I sat pondering this question tonight, multiple scriptures from God's Word about His faithfulness, His unconditional love, His mercy, His grace, His provision, His long-suffering, His steadfastness, and His promises came flooding to my mind and this answer to this nagging question came to me...

Our earthly circumstances are but reminders of this broken world that is tarnished by the evil of sin present in each of our lives.  But the hope and peace God's Truth has brought me tonight is that...We live not for the circumstances of our lives, the fleeting hopes the world offers, the temporary happiness that things or even man provides, but for the promise of our awaited eternity as the Bride of Christ!  I as a child of God, a believer in Christ, a wretched soul saved by His AMAZING Grace have hope that one day all of this broken world will be made new and I will no longer suffer the heartache that I do now because of His Great Love for me!

My joy is not found in things of this world, because this world is passing away.  My joy is found in Christ, the hope of the world!  In this hope, I will boldly proclaim my joy and hope and  encourage others with this message of hope!

"But thanks be to God, who always leads us in His triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.  For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life..." 2 Cor. 2:14-16

"Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.  FOr momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal." 2 Cor. 4: 16-18

"My hope is found in nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness, I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus name!"
