The last several weeks I have been putting my oils to the test with my family as we continue to find new uses and new benefits to these wonderful little gems! I have been blown away at some of the things I have seen!!! I am constantly amazed at how quick and responsive these oils are.
Let me share a little of my oily finds :)...
* My parents came to visit for the day and my mom was having terrible dizzy spells so I rubbed some Peppermint on her temples and the back of her neck and had her inhale it a few times, and within ten minutes the dizziness was gone and did not return.
*My grandmother (who is 84) came to visit and has terrible arthritis. She was having really bad pain in her neck, so I rubbed some Valor and PanAway on her neck. She was almost immediately relieved from the pain!
*The same grandmother I mentioned earlier was staying with my mom (who now owns a kit) and dad this past weed and she had sudden severe knee pain the enabled her from walking so my mom applied Frankincense, layered PanAway on top, then used the Peppermint to "drive in" the other two oils and after 30 minutes my grandmother was able to get back on her feet with little to no pain.
*With this crazy weather going from hot to cold, Leah started getting some pretty bad chest congestion. I started applying RC and Purification (mixed in coconut oil) to her chest and back, diffusing the RC in her room and applying RC and Thieves to the bottom of her feet. When she would get to coughing at night I would do the same remedy as just mentioned and add Breathe Again to her chest and the coughing would stop. This went on for 3-4 days until cleared up.
*With the unseasonal warm weather came some unwelcome sinus headaches. I applied lavender in my nasal passages and on the bridge of my nose and some peppermint to my temples and back of neck...this brought great relief! I had to do it twice one day, but it worked!
*My mom was desperate for some sleep one night when she and my dad were staying with us but it did not seem as though that was going to happen due to my dad's really loud snoring; so she put some Valor underneath his big toe and second toe. Not only did it fix the snoring, but he slept so soundly that he didn't hear the baby wake up crying the majority of the night.
*Leah had been waking up several times in the night for no apparent reason, so one night before bed I applied Peace and Calming, Lavender, and Cedarwood (mixed in coconut oil) to her chest before bed and what do you know...she slept through the night for the first night in MONTHS!!!
I am so thankful for the well being my family has been able to experience since starting these oils. I can't tell you that they cure every ache, pain and sickness that enters our lives; I can however tell you that they have helped in MANY MANY MANY MANY ways. These mentioned are just to name a few! I am so thankful that our mighty Creator gave us these resources through his creations of all types of plants and then gave man the knowledge and ability to harvest, process and produce these natural remedies to help protect and nurture our families. Praise be to His great name!!!
